Baidu Pixel Map
Baidu is China’s consideration of our (meaning the world) to Google, the majority of the Chinese market because its use Baidu for search, with more than 70% of the market penetration of Eastern Europe.
Obviously there anceh the equivalent of Google Maps, but having problems with government censorship, have had to invent a system to map the creative city without incurring penalties.
The approach chosen to overcome the obstacle is very creative, the maps were vectorized and redesigned 8-bit pixel art style or Sim City (for gamers), here you can see a map of Shanghai, and just trying to scroll a bit ‘inside we really understand what we’re talking impressive amount of work if you think that all cities have been completely redesigned in Pixel!
